Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Higher Studies (NMIMS) is a deemed University which was established in 1981 to meet the growing demand for young managers.. NMIMS is also the first business school of India to be accredited with a 5 star rating (the highest rating point) by the UGC sponsored National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University offers post graduate programmes like MBA (Retail Management), MBA  (Pharmaceuticals Management), MBA (Services Management), MBA (Global Business), MBA (Actuarial Science), MBA (Capital Markets) and MBA (Banking). Narsee Monjee Institute of Management & Higher Studies (NMIMS) was established to meet the growing demand for young managers in 1981, by the order of the University of Mumbai.

NMIMS is the first business school to be accredited and awarded a “FIVE STAR” rating by the UGC sponsored National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which is the highest rating that is awarded by the council. NMIMS has also been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by ICL.
