Candidates appearing who are seeking admission into B. Com (Hons.) or B.B.A. or B.Sc. Economics are required to qualify the NMIMS NMAT (C) Entrance Exam. B. Com Hons and B.B.A. is a 3 year degree programme. B.Com Hons imparts specialized skill sets in the areas of finance, accounting and taxation to bul skill set necessary for careers in financial services. BBA offers students a choice of specialization in marketing and / or finance roles in the 3rd year of their program.

B Sc. Economics programme is also a 3 year degree programme which apart from imparting core knowledge in economics, offers electives in Finance and Business/ Management subjects. Another distinguishing characteristic of the course is the inclusion of allied subjects like Law, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Analysis of Financial Statements and Organizational Behaviour.

NMAT C 2012 Application Procedure

Given below is the step wise application procedure for B. TEch, MBA TEch., and MBA Pharma Tech. offered by NMIMS:

Step 1: If you are registering for the first time then go to the following link: http://oamslive.blueshiftindia.com/MPSTME/Terms.htm and read the terms & conditions as prescribed.

Step 2: Click on the I Agree button to accept the Terms and Conditions and you will be directed to the page containing the Online Application form.

Step 3: Fill in the details requested in the online application form. Candidates must fill in all the mandatory fields otherwise form may not be processed or may be rejected. In case of any doubt related to filling the form, click on the How to fill the Form link at the top of the Online Application Form. Step 4: After filling in details in the form such as Personal Information, Present Correspondence Address, Educational Details, Programme Details, Family Details, and Test City Details, the candidates are required to upload their latest photograph. The Photograph must only be in .jpg or .jpeg or .gif formats and size of upto 100 kb.

Step 5: After completing the form, click on the Save and Continue button to choose a password and the hint questions that will be asked if you forget your password.

Step 6: Now click on "Save and Continue" button to register. The next screen that appears will display your ASMSOC ID (for B.com Hons & BBA) OR SAMSOE ID (for B.Sc Economics)

Step 7: After successful registration, candidates will recieve an email containing their ASMSOC ID & ASMSOC password OR SAMSOE ID & SAMSOE password (as may be applicable). Candidates must use their respective ID for all future correspondence with the SVKM's NMIMS. Registered applicants can Use their ASMSOC ID & ASMSOC password OR SAMSOE ID & SAMSOE password (as may be applicable) to enter the online application form and to make any changes to the details provided by them.

Step 8: Click on the 'Click here to Continue' link that appears along with your ASMSOC ID OR SAMSOE ID (as may be applicable) and proceed to make payment. The screen will now display the Make Payment options. There are three ways to pay the requisite fees:
  • One may pay directly through Master or Visa card online.

  • Candidates may select the option of payment through AXIS Bank and take the print out of the Axis Bank Challan. This Challan is in 3 parts. Pay Rs. 1,600/- in cash at AXIS Bank branch in your city. The bank will return two parts of the Challan to you. One of them is the receipt for you. candidates will have to sign the ASMSOC OR BSc Economics copy of the Pay-in-slip (as may be applicable) and send it to the Collection Centre at the following address:

  • Another option for payment of fees is to pay via Demand Draft. Candidates must get a demand draft for Rs.1,600/- from any Bank in favor of "SVKM'S NMIMS" payable at Mumbai. Candidates must write their Name and the ASMSOC ID (for bcom hons & bba) OR BSc_Eco ID (for BSc Economics) at the backside of their DD. Choose the mode of Payment as DD in "Make Payment" Tab and click "Submit". Lastly, take a print of the payment advice form, sign send it along with the DD to the Collection Centre at the following address:

Note: NMIMS will authenticate the payment details and will send the candidates an email confirming the payment made by the them for ASMSOC 2012 or BSc Economics (as per the chosen course)

NMIMS NMAT C Admission Process

All eligible candidates who are seeking admission to B. Com (Hons.) or B.B.A. or B.Sc. Economics Programme will be required to appear for a Written Test to be conducted at various locations in India. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidate in written test.

If two or more candidates secure equal number of marks in NMAT (C) 2012, their relative merit will be decided as per following order:

a. Candidate securing highest score in Reasoning and General Intelligence (NMAT (C) test section)
b. Candidate securing highest score in English Language(NMAT (C) test section)
c. Candidate securing highest score in Quantitative and Numerical Ability(NMAT (C) test section)

NMIMS NMAT C Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam including international IB Diploma(IB certificate awarded not eligible) in any stream from a recognized Board at first attempt and should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for B.Com.(Hons.) Program & 60% aggregate marks with passing in Mathematics/ Statistics as compulsory subject for BBA program only.
  • Candidates who have not cleared the 10+2 or equivalent exam in the first attempt are NOT eligible to Apply for the admission to the courses. Further, those candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam by doing a part-time course or through distance learning/correspondence/ externally/open school are not eligible to apply for these courses.

  • Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 or equivalent examination including IB Diploma can also apply but their admission to the courses will be subject to the conditions above, obtaining the required minimum cut off marks and also producing all the necessary documents, in original, within the given stipulated time.

  • Those candidates who have passed, or, are appearing for 10+2 or equivalent examination from a Board/University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing from the Board/University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained.

  • It is sole responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the necessary and requisite qualification for the admission to the courses at NMIMS.

NMIMS NMAT C Admit Card

Candidates are required to download the call letter/ admit card from the NMIMS website. Candidates will not be intimated through any separate call letter. Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the test without call letter/admit card or without the photograph on the call letter/admit card.

NMIMS NMAT C Registration Fees

Rs 1600/- (Non refundable) is the fees to be paid b way of Credit Card, or Cash at Axis Bank or by Demand Draft.

NMIMS NMAT C Syllabus

NMAT (C) for B.Com (Hons.), BSc. Economics, & BBA would be a 120 minute test. There will be 120 objective type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no descriptive type of questions. NMAT (C) will contain questions from the following broad categories:
  • Proficiency in English Language - 40 questions
  • Quantitative & Numerical Ability - 40 questions
  • Reasoning & General Intelligence - 40 questions
